Gyan Setu Think Tank in collaboration with Post Graduate Government Girls College, Sector 42, Chandigarh organized a one day seminar on the subject  – Emerging Contours of Geo-Strategic Flux in the Middle-East on January 28, 2025. The Seminar was organized at Post Graduate Government Girls College, Sector 42, Chandigarh to understand and discuss the ongoing developments in the Middle-East and how these developments may affect India and world at large.

Hon’ble member of parliament Sh. Manish Tiwari was the chief guest on the occasion. Lt. Gen. KJ Singh, convener of the Gyan Setu Think Tank introduced the theme of the seminar, following that several experts presented different aspects of the on-going flux in middle-east. Everything from demography of the region, genesis of the on-going issues and their possible resolutions were discussed. Some notable experts included Ambassador Manbir Singh, who server the foreign missions in Iran and Russia. Lt. Gen. IS Singha (retd.) who was commander of the UN peace keeping force in Golan Heights. The panel of distinguished speakers dwelled on various aspects of middle east crisis and its geo political importance for global politics. The thoughtful questions were asked by a few that played a significant role in enhancing the depth and breadth of the discussion on different contours of lsrael Hamas conflict and middle east politics and problems in general. In their closing remarks, the panellists recommended a number of suggestions for the lsraeli, Palestinian, and Arab perspectives on the region’s troubled past and present. The Seminar ended with a book release on “Emerging Contours of Geo-Strategic Flux Near East to Middle-East”. The book authored by Col. Parminder Randhawa is ready reckoner for the students about Middle-East.
