Gyan Setu Think Tank in association with Post Graduate Government College for Girls, Sector 11, Chandigarh organized a seminar on the theme – Building a Cyber-Resilient Society: Role of Women, Towards Cyber Awareness and Cyber Defense on February 7th, 2025. The seminar was held at Post Graduate Government College for Girls campus, Sector 11, Chandigarh.

The chief guest and keynote speaker at the Seminar was Lt. Gen. (Dr.) RS Panwar (retd.). He explained how cyber security has become a very important factor of National Security. He discussed the different aspects on how cyber security challenges impact the country, communities and individuals. Other speakers at the seminar were Col. Harkamal Sidhu (retd.), Dr. Ambuj Sharma and Dr. Ritu Sekhri. Dr. Ritu Sekhri discussed the psychological aspects of Cyber crimes and their impact on population especially the females.

Other dignitaries present on the occasion were Lt. Gen. (Dr.) KJ Singh (retd.), convener of the Gyan Setu Think Tank, Prof. Anita Kaushal, Principal Post Graduate Government College for Girls, Sector 11, veterans and faculty of the college apart from the students of the college in large numbers.

On the occasion, an MOU was also signed between Gyan Setu Think Tank and Post Graduate Government College for Girls, Sector 11, Chandigarh to collaborate to promote dissemination or exchange of knowledge, provide vital facilities for scholars to undertake studies and research in the area of International Relations, Defence Strategy, National and Regional Security Issues, Geopolitics and other subjects in the area of Strategic Studies. This is the third MOU of Gyan Setu Think Tank with colleges in Chandigarh for resource sharing to promote and organize  lectures,  seminars,  workshops,  conferences,  courses  and  other  such activities to promote thinking and exchange of ideas in the field of Defence and National Security and to undertake research projects on security issues with the sole aim to promote awareness and better understanding of the subject.
