Gyan Setu Think Tank in association with The Centre for Research in Rural and Industrial Development (CRRID) and Chandigarh Citizens Foundation (CCF) organised a public lecture on “The Coming War of the 6 Seas: Geopolitics, Maritime Strategy & India’s Role” at the CRRID Conference Hall, Sector 19, Chandigarh.
The lecture was delivered by M.J. Akbar, author and former Minister of State for External Affairs, Government of India. The discussion focused on the growing strategic importance of the maritime domain, changing geopolitical equations, emerging challenges to maritime security, and India’s role in the evolving maritime order.
The event brought together citizens, academics, students, professionals and those interested in international affairs and national security. The lecture highlighted the need for India to develop a deeper strategic understanding of the changing maritime environment and its implications for the country’s security and global interests.
