Gyan Setu Think Tank in association with Chandigarh Citizen’s Foundation and Western Command organized an outreach programme “Know Your Fauj” with 75 NSS volunteers from Post Graduate Government College, Sector 1, Panchkula. The event was organized on the occasion of Martyr’s Day. The Event was organized on March 22, 2026.\u00a0<\/p>\n
As part of the programme, in the first half of the day, a guided visit was organized for the students to Western Command. The students paid tribute at the War Memorial within Western Command, and visited the War museum. Students undertook a guided tour to learn about the history and traditions of the Indian Army. A film on Command’s role and Operation Sindoor was also screened for the students. A display of arms and equipment used by the army was organized for the students along with a drone display.<\/p>\n
After lunch, a Cyber Security workshop was organized by Gyan Setu Think Tank. S. Dildeep Singh, a cyber security expert delivered a lecture for the students. The students were appraised of the emerging cyber security threats and how to secure themselves from such threats.<\/p>\n
The NSS volunteers also organized a Tiranga rally from the college to Chandi Mandir cantonment. The programme aimed to instill patriotism, dscipline and sense of responsibility among youth and prepare them as responsible citizens.<\/p>\n
Lt. Gen. KJ Singh, convener of the Gyan Setu Think Tank along with other members of Gyan Setu Think Tank including Col. Amit Vig were present on the occasion. Several members of faculty from Post Graduate Government College, Sector 1, Panchkula were also present.<\/p>\n
